📊 E-Commerce Reaches Pandemic Highs Again — This Time for Real
According to the latest Census Bureau data, U.S. e-commerce has climbed back to 16.3% of total retail sales, the same level briefly reached in the lockdown-driven surge of Q2 2020. It took five years to recover, as the pandemic’s spike proved temporary and growth slowed while consumers returned to stores. What looked like a permanent step-change was really borrowed growth. Now, e-commerce is back on its long-term trajectory, gaining about one percentage point of retail share each year, alongside continued expansion of total retail sales.

What this means for Amazon sellers:
📈 Expect steady, predictable growth in online demand, not explosive jumps.
🛍️ Brick-and-mortar isn’t shrinking, and competition for customers remains strong, so listing quality and differentiation are critical.
🚚 Amazon’s pandemic overbuild left sellers with stronger FBA and logistics infrastructure, boosting fulfillment speed and reach.
✅ With growth stabilizing, Amazon will raise the bar: compliance, listing optimization, and customer experience matter more than ever.
The lesson is clear: Q4 and beyond won’t be defined by sudden surges, but by steady growth that rewards disciplined sourcing, optimized listings, and long-term strategy.
🤖 Amazon’s $300M AI Bet Could Rewrite How Shoppers Find Products
Amazon just dropped $300 million on an AI startup called Bee, and it might change how people shop online. Bee makes bracelets that listen in on your day-to-day chatter, transcribes it, and quietly turns it into reminders, summaries, or prompts. Think of it as a personal assistant strapped to your wrist that’s always on, but designed to blend in. Unlike the pricey Humane AI Pin that flopped, Bee is aiming to be cheap, wearable, and practical.

For sellers, here’s the big shift: if Amazon pushes this tech, product discovery could move beyond the search bar. Instead of typing in “best running shoes” on Amazon, a device like Bee could overhear you talking about training for a marathon and then surface recommendations right in the moment. That means the old playbook of keyword stuffing and PPC hacks might matter less over time. To stay visible, sellers will need to double down on listing quality, strong branding, and relevance so Amazon’s AI decides your product is the best fit when a recommendation is triggered.
Whether Bee takes off or not, one thing’s clear: the future of selling on Amazon won’t just be about winning search; it’ll be about earning a spot in the conversation.
🔑 Skip Limits. Skip Risk. Skip the Wait. Meet EcomStores.com
Amazon can be a beast, squeezing margins and throwing curveballs daily. That’s why we’re excited to introduce EcomStores.com—a marketplace built to help sellers fight back, scale faster, and build real wealth. Their mission is bold: empower 10,000 business owners to grow on Amazon with Aged Legacy Stores while breaking the poverty cycle for 10,000 kids and their families—one store at a time.
🏎 Why Aged Stores Are a Game-Changer
Picture Amazon as a high-stakes Formula 1 race. New sellers? They’re rolling up in a Prius while competitors are driving Ferraris. Even if you’re Lewis Hamilton, that Prius won’t cut it. Gated brands, frozen cash reserves, capped FBA limits, and the risk of suspension slow you down.

We actually used Ecomstores.com to acquire our own Amazon store:

So what does owning an aged account actually mean for an online arbitrage seller? It comes down to unlocking advantages that new accounts simply don’t have.
The Benefits of Buying an Aged Account:
🚀 No “new seller” probation: Start selling right away without months of performance monitoring.
📦 Higher FBA storage limits: Send in bulk inventory and scale your OA sourcing faster.
🛒 Access to ungated, high-profit categories & brands: Many aged accounts are already approved to sell in profitable areas like Grocery, Health & Beauty, and even restricted brands.
💵 Faster Payouts: Older stores often come with daily or bi-weekly payouts and already grandfathered in. This means you've got 100% of your cash paid out faster to reinvest into stock and keep the cash flowing all year long. This is critical for OA sellers who want to reinvest profits in inventory quickly.
🏆 Stronger Buy Box eligibility: Established accounts are more likely to win the Buy Box against competitors.
🛡 Reduced risk: A second account provides diversification, protecting your business if your main account ever faces issues. Ecomstores.com builds digital moats around all their stores so sellers can own and operate multiple stores without them being linked.
In online arbitrage, success comes down to speed, access, and flexibility. An aged Amazon account gives you all three – letting you source more, sell more, and scale faster without being boxed in by Amazon’s restrictions.
💰 Have an Old Store?
EcomStores.com also buys unused Amazon accounts for up to $20,000, helping sellers cash out for vacations, new ventures, or just extra breathing room.
👉 Don’t let limits hold back your growth. See what trusted accounts other OA sellers are using to grow. Check out the marketplace today at EcomStores.com.
🗞️ Essential Amazon Seller Updates
📅 Plan Your Amazon Accelerate 2025 Experience
Amazon’s sixth annual Accelerate conference takes place September 16–18, 2025, in Seattle, and the Agenda Builder is now live for registered attendees. This year’s event features one-on-one Seller Café sessions, Partner Connect networking with 60+ providers, and breakout sessions for sellers at every level. Seats and appointments are limited, so plan early to lock in your spot.
🛒 Change to Percentage-Off Promotions Starting Sept 2
Beginning September 2, 2025, percentage-off promotions without claim codes will require customers to buy at least two units to qualify. Single-unit percentage-off promos will still be available, but only if you use a claim code or run a coupon (fees apply). The update is designed to reduce confusion for customers and help sellers choose the right promotional tools.
🎁 Get Ready for the 2025 Holiday Shopping Season
Amazon expects Q4 2025 to be the biggest yet, with record-breaking demand across Prime Big Deal Days, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. Promotions are now open for Best Deals, Lightning Deals, Prime Exclusive Discounts, and coupons, with submission deadlines in September and October.
Make sure inventory arrives by Sept 10–19 for Prime Big Deal Days and Oct 20–30 for Black Friday/Cyber Monday to maintain Prime eligibility. Holiday peak fulfillment fees will apply Oct 15, 2025 – Jan 14, 2026, so plan ahead for costs and capacity.
💴 Amazon Now Supports Payouts in Korean Won
Sellers based in Korea can now receive earnings from the US, Canada, and Mexico marketplaces directly in Korean won (KRW) through the Amazon Currency Converter for Sellers. This optional program eliminates third-party services and manual transfers, making payments faster and simpler.
To enable KRW deposits, add your Korean bank account under Deposit Methods and assign it as your default for North American stores.
🛍️ Boost Labor Day Sales with Amazon Outlet Deals
From August 22 – September 1, 2025, Amazon will feature discounted excess inventory on a dedicated Labor Day Outlet landing page. To qualify, Outlet deals must offer at least a 15% discount, unlocking extra visibility through email campaigns and mobile push notifications.
🔄 Enrollment Changes for FBA Liquidations & Donations
Starting September 30, 2025, Amazon is updating how sellers participate in the FBA Liquidations and Donations programs in the US and Canada. Liquidations will become the default option for unsold inventory if automated settings aren’t configured (though you can opt out anytime). Donations, however, will become mandatory, and all eligible products will be automatically enrolled.
Fees remain unchanged, but sellers should review their FBA settings and inventory strategies before the deadline to ensure smooth compliance.

⚠️ Amazon Section 3 Suspensions: What Sellers Need to Know
A lot of chatter from the OA community about Section 3 account suspensions being on the rise recently. It’s not random. Every year, right before Q4, Amazon ramps up authenticity checks and performance reviews to “clean house” ahead of the busiest shopping season.
Don’t get blindsided. Watch this episode of the Clear the Shelf pod to learn exactly how to prepare and how others have successfully navigated S3 suspensions.
🤖 Amazon Selling on Autopilot
The latest tools now make it possible to manage huge lists of ASINs with minimal effort.
In this episode of Silent Sales Machine Radio, Jim Cockrum talks about the “new” way of doing online arbitrage, and how smart software can handle the heavy lifting, reduce risk, and free up time so sellers can focus on scaling rather than scrambling.
Jim is the lead coach of Proven Amazon Course, which is touted as “the #1 Amazon Seller training in the world.
🔄 Amazon to Retire Irrelevant Variation Themes
Amazon just announced that starting Sept 2, 2025, unused or irrelevant variation themes will be removed from product templates, with full cleanup by Nov 30, 2025. Sellers using deprecated themes could see errors, broken parent/child links, and reduced listing visibility.
OA sellers typically don’t create a lot of new listings, they ride existing ones. Audit your current variation-linked listings now, avoid sourcing into deprecated variation structures, and be ready to rebuild parents where necessary. In Q4 especially, don’t risk lost visibility or stranded inventory.
🍫 Amazon Meltables Policy Update
Amazon has confirmed that meltable inventory can be sent to FBA starting September 22, 2025, but note that customer orders won’t ship until October 13.
For OA sellers, this means planning meltable shipments carefully: send them in early enough to beat the Q4 rush, but don’t expect sales to start moving until mid-October. Perfect timing for Halloween candy, holiday chocolates, and other seasonal meltables.

Here’s what one of our long-time subscribers had to say about our lead list:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“My experience with lead lists always turned into a dumpster fire until I subscribed to FBA Lead Lists. I have more than tripled my revenue and profits!
Every time I've tried a lead list, the same thing always happens. A race to the bottom in sales price, and I'm lucky just to break even on my investment.
With FBA Lead Lists, there may be a dollar or so price drop, but rarely any more than that, and a surprising number of items experience a dollar or two sales price increase.
What I appreciate about the lists is that I'm given a solid sell price based on historical data, accurate sourcing information like color, size, etc, a suggested purchase amount, and any coupons that are out there.
Better and more cost-effective than any VA I have hired on my own. This has been a real game-changer for me, and I really do appreciate the hard work everyone puts into making this happen.
