🍿 Snacktacular Spotlight

Each week, we shine a light on something (or someone) that’s helping Amazon sellers snack smarter.

This week’s spotlight is on….

💡 Uranus 22 - Our New Hazmat Lead List

Most Amazon OA sellers avoid Hazmat products like the plague.

They see extra paperwork, a long, tedious approval process, limited storage, restricted shipping - and move on.

But those very barriers? Those are the ones that make Hazmat leads a juicy proposition:

Less competition. Better margins. Leads other resellers won’t touch.

That’s why we’re testing something new…

Bite-sized insights to help you sell smarter.

What’s Happening:  BTS Spending to hit $30.9 Billion

Deloitte’s 2025 Back-to-School Survey projects $30.9 billion in K–12 spending this season. However, it’s not growth across the board. Parents are tightening belts in some areas and splurging in others.

🧃 Spending on Tech and Supplies Is Down:

  • Tech spending expected to drop 8%

  • School supplies down 3%

  • Home/health/other down 12%

🧥 Spending on Clothing Is Up:

  • Parents plan to spend 6% more on apparel and accessories

  • Over half are open to splurging on first-day outfits

  • 62% say their kid influences what they buy

🛍️ Value Is King:

  • 75% of parents are willing to switch brands if prices are too high

  • 46% are shopping mass-market (Target, Walmart, etc.)

  • 26% are using cashback platforms

  • Gen Z parents are leaning into social deals and AI tools

Spending is Peaking Early:

  • 61% of all BTS purchases will wrap before the end of July

  • Many are okay with slower shipping if it means saving more

📈 Why It Matters:

If you’re sourcing for BTS, your window is still open. However, it’s closing fast.

Parents aren’t just buying anything and everything. They’re prioritizing value, essentials, and lower-cost categories. They’re not loyal to brands and are getting smarter with tools like cashback, sale tracking, and price-comparison extensions.

For OA sellers, this is a signal:

You don’t need to find trendy tech or hot new launches. What you need to find are practical, profitable, low-friction flips that look like a deal.

📋 What to Do:

  • Target low-cost, practical goods - parents are pulling back on tech and high-ticket items. Focus on affordable everyday needs like school organizers, lunch bags, folders, water bottles, and other items that feel essential but budget-friendly.

  • Lean into apparel and accessories - Clothing is the only category seeing growth. Look for multipacks of socks, basic tees, backpacks, or branded bundles that appeal to value-driven shoppers but still feel “first-day worthy.”

  • List value brands over premium - with 75% of parents willing to switch brands, now’s the time to source and list alternative or house-brand options that undercut big-name pricing.

  • Use cashback sites while sourcing - If 26% of parents are shopping through cashback platforms, OA sellers should too. While sourcing from retailers, stack cashbacks with Rakuten or TopCashback to boost ROI.

  • Prioritize FBM for the final stretch - with back-to-school spending peaking in August and 71% of shoppers willing to wait for lower shipping costs, FBM is a smart play for these last few weeks. especially for non-urgent items like accessories, organizers, or extras that don’t need to arrive on day one.

Bite-sized tips to boost your flips.

🔎 The Sourcing Shortcut Hiding in Shopper Habits

When some products pop off, just like the Dyson V8 cordless vacuum last Prime Day, buyers usually don’t just stop there. They grab accessories, replacement parts or complimentary products next. In this thread, we show you a quick and easy way to find these flips fast so that you can ride the wave without having to elbow a large crowd.

🤖 Use ChatGPT to Find Auto-Ungate Products? Yep.

In 2025, sellers aren’t just using AI -they’re building workflows around it.

In this YouTube video, Miles Longstreth shows how to use AI tools to uncover products you’re more likely to auto-ungate - plus how to streamline sourcing and listing creation along the way.

Oh, and how cool is Miles? He even shares his ChatGPT prompts in the video description. That cool.

📈 Scaling to $100K? Here’s How to Keep It Simple

Most sellers chase growth by doing more.

The smart ones scale by doing what works—on repeat.

In this thread, Warner Fields (@FieldsofProfit) breaks down how to skip test buys, spot restock winners, and track sale cycles so you can scale without losing your mind.

🍄 Mental Snacks

Quick Bites. Better Mindset.

Online arbitrage can feel like a game of Whack-A-Mole sometimes. Product research and sourcing, shipments, returns, reimbursement cases - everything hits you all at once, demanding time and attention.

But here’s the truth: Not everything needs your immediate attention.

The sellers who grow the fastest aren’t necessarily doing more. They’re doing what matters the most.

You can bring order to this chaos using one simple filter: The Eisenhower Matrix.

📋 What’s the Eisenhower Matrix?

Named after our 34th president, Dwight Eisenhower, the Eisenhower Matrix helps you decide what to do now, what to plan, and what to ignore based on urgency and impact.

It divides tasks into four boxes based on what to do first, what to schedule, what to delegate, and what to delete.

💡 Why It Works for OA Sellers

Despite how it feels, not all tasks are created equal, especially if you consider where you’re exactly at as an OA seller.

Let’s say you’re a beginner. At this phase, creating social media content and aggressive networking might make you feel productive, but at this point, this is just busy work.

But refining your sourcing technique, restocking winners, and building repeatable systems are what actually moves the needle for you at this point.

This is where the Eisenhower Matrix comes in - it filters out the noise and helps you prioritize more easily.

✅ How to Start

  • Brain dump your to-do list

  • Evaluate each task based on urgency, impact on your business, and your ability to delegate.

  • Drop each task into a quadrant.

  • Focus on tasks in the “Do” and ‘Schedule” quadrant.

  • Delegate and delete the rest.

  • Revisit the matrix every 2-3 days or when you feel stuck.

🧠 Bottom Line

The Eisenhower Matrix is like a filter for your brain.

Use it to shift from a reactive mindset for your business to a proactive one.

Try it this week and let us know how it goes.
